چکیده
Efficient human resource planning is the cornerstone of designing an effective home health care system. Human in system consists decisions on districting/zoning, staff dimensioning, assignment, scheduling, and routing. In this study, a two-stage stochastic mixed integer model proposed that considers these simultaneously. phase system, main uncertain parameters are travel service times. Hence, takes into account uncertainty Districting dimensioning defined as first stage decisions, routing considered second decisions. A novel algorithm developed for solving model. The four phases relies matheuristic-based method calls various models. addition, based progressive hedging Frank Wolf algorithms to reduce computational time matheuristic algorithm. efficiency accuracy tested through several numerical experiments. results prove ability solve large instances.

Planning Strategies for Home Health Care Delivery
In home health care, continuity of care, wherein a patient is always visited by the same nurse, can be just as important as cost, as it is closely correlated to quality of care. While a patient typically receives care for two to three months, such that assigning a nurse to a patient impacts operations for lengthy periods of time, previous research focusing on continuity of care uses planning ho...
متن کاملA Lagrangian Relaxation-based Algorithm to Solve a Home Health Care Routing Problem
Nowadays, a rapid growth in the rate of life expectancy can be seen especially in the developed countries. Accordingly, the population of elderlies has been increased. By another point of view, the number of hospitals, retirement homes along with medical staffs has not been grown with a same rate. Hence, Home Health Care (HHC) operations including a set of nurses and patients have been develope...
متن کاملA Decision-Making Tool for Home Health Care Nurses' Planning
Sonia Hajri-Gabouj URAII, INSAT, Tunis [email protected] This article deals with problems encountered be routing nurses through home health care services. It is difficult to assign patients to different care workers by taking into account their availability and their skills. If patients need several cares during a week, they may be treated by the same employee. We show that this problem...
متن کاملThe Lack of Systematic Training for Health Care Providers, A Challenge for Providing Pediatric Palliative Home Care: A Comparative Study
Background: The growing prevalence of chronic diseases in children has increased their need for palliative care. We aimed to compare pediatric palliative care and home care training in Iran and in the selected countries. Materials and Methods: This comparative study was conducted based on the classifications of palliative care for children and using databases such as Scopus, Science Direct, Ovi...
متن کاملHome care after hip fracture in a health planning region.
Health-care restructuring has increased the focus on integrating health care. Therefore the study purpose was to quantify patient movement from hospital to home care before restructuring occurred in a health planning district. Hospital discharge abstracts and home care records identified patients with a hip fracture who used home care (n = 353). Patients from acute care were more likely than re...
